Jim Munro

JIM MUNRO retired as the Superintendent of Schools in Monroe in 1997. He spent 14 years in that position.

Prior to the Monroe Superin- tendency, he was School Superintendent in Bloomer, Wisconsin for 15 years, Assistant Superintendent in Sparta, Wisconsin schools for 2 years, District Administrator in the Northwoods School District in Minong, Wisconsin for 3 years and taught high school Science and Math for 3 years in the Minong and Hayward area. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a BS and MA, Jim also has numerous graduate credits from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Professionally, Jim has served as President of WASDA, the WIAA board, the Blackhawk Technical School board, and currently serves as the President of the WARSDA.

His interests include travel, fishing, hunting, time at the lake cottage in Solon Springs, spectator sports and most of all spoiling his 7 years old granddaughter.

Wife Judy and he have a daughter and her husband living in Monroe, as well as a son and his wife living in Madison.

Jim retired from the Coalition in October 2023.
